8-One of the few

Escaping slavery through all bravery
The abolitionist
F. Douglass
equality for all the immigrants
Black or female
He would tell those
He would unite to do right, then to do wrong in the night
As a slave, Freeland taught him how to read and write
Seen as a weapon in the eyes
Douglass seen the light.
Like a Muslim he only thought about Freedom rights
To free mind
As the whites tried to squeeze his spine
The backbone
He remembers what he was thought back at home
The reading caused him to think
Now he sits on the throne
Next to Lincoln as he was thinking on what path should be chose
As Douglass blessed a pen a new passion arose.
